Martin EveleighMartin Eveleigh

Chairman

 

Martin Eveleigh serves as Chairman of Atlas Insurance Management, which he formed in 2002. He has an M.A. from Oxford, where he read Jurisprudence and is a Barrister-At-Law. He is also a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Mr. Eveleigh began his career as a broker in the Lloyd’s of London market in 1983. As Executive Director of the International Reinsurance Division of Willis, he negotiated and placed the largest marine excess of loss programs in the world. While with KPMG in the British Virgin Islands, he became a founding member of the British Virgin Islands Insurance Association.

Mr. Eveleigh specializes in designing alternative risk transfer programs - particularly risk pools - and captive structures. He has chaired the legislative committee of the Bahamas International Insurance  Association and has drafted legislation and regulatory guidance for Anguilla and Nevis. He is a past Chairman of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association and sits on the Captive committee of the Self-Insurance Institute of America. He is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

 

Elaine TappElaine Tapp

Executive Vice President - Group

 

Based in the Cayman Islands, Elaine is a Scottish Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of captive insurance experience. Since joining Atlas in 2006, she has been an integral part of the Atlas team. She has worked on many different captive structures across multiple domiciles and has developed an in-depth understanding of the various regulatory environments and compliance requirements, particularly those offshore. Elaine is also responsible for establishing and developing the corporate finance department, Atlas’s compliance program and the staff development program. As Executive Vice President, she has ultimate oversight of the group’s operations both onshore and offshore, serving as a director on all group regulated entities.

Elaine began her career in the insurance industry in 2000 with Mutual Risk Management in Bermuda in the rent-a-captive sector, working on a number of agency and association programs. She was subsequently appointed Assistant Vice President as she assisted with the run-off of the programs between 2002 and 2005, gaining invaluable experience in commutations, segregated cell structures and what can go wrong.

 

Tania DaviesTania Davies

Vice President – Business Development & Marketing

 

Currently based in the Cayman Islands, Tania is an English Chartered Accountant with almost 20 years of captive insurance experience. Tania joined Atlas in 2012, as a Senior Account Manager. She has worked on captive structures across multiple domiciles and has developed an in-depth understanding of the various regulatory environments and compliance requirements, particularly those offshore. Tania has written various published articles from tax matters affecting the captive industry to the implications of blockchain and cryptocurrency.

She is currently responsible for managing and developing the business development team as well as expanding the scope of the underwriting team to enable Atlas to continue to offer well- tailored, innovative risk solutions to its clients. She also has oversight of the Charlotte office client servicing team, thereby ensuring the alternative risk structures, which Atlas develops to provide relevant solutions to our clients, continue to meet their evolving risk financing needs.

Tania is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, having qualified with Touche Ross in London before moving to Cayman with  Deloittes. She then started her captive career with IRMG, later Aon and joined Atlas after a career break to raise her three children. She is a committee member of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC).


 

Beth BiegaMorgan Doughty

Senior Manager

 

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Morgan is a Certified Public Accountant who joined Atlas in 2016 as an Account Manager. Morgan has worked on, and overseen, a diverse portfolio of captives staying attuned to requirements from both a regulatory and IRS perspective. Her experience covers different captive structures including stand-alone, protected cell companies, series LLCs and reinsurers. Morgan is continually expanding her knowledge of industry coverages, from general and professional liability reinsurance for long-term care nursing home facilities to legal defense benefit plans for full-time law enforcement officers.

She has spearheaded internal research projects in order to broaden the scope of options for captive clients. She is also responsible for establishing and developing client relationships and excellent client servicing and is a go-to resource for her team. Morgan has served on the board of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association since 2019 and was recently appointed Secretary.

 

Kevin McGinleyBeth Sartori

Senior Manager 

 

Beth joined Atlas in 2015 as an Account Manager in the Charlotte office. Since joining Atlas, she has formed, managed and overseen insurance and reinsurance captives formed as a variety of alternative risk structures including standalones, series LLCs, protected cell companies and risk retention groups. The captives provide coverage for insureds in diverse industries ranging from fruit orchards to medical practices, from manufacturing to environmental consulting.

Beth has significant experience with regulatory compliance, captive formation and corporate governance. She leads a client servicing team of Account Managers who work closely with captive owners and third-party service providers to ensure that captives under management by Atlas remain compliant with the requirements of regulatory agencies while maintaining the flexibility necessary to respond to the changing risk management needs of the insured. She has also worked on a number of research projects including domicile comparisons for prospective clients.

Prior to working with Atlas, she spent 12 years in various accounting, audit and financial roles in the property and casualty industry before taking time off to raise a family. Beth holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She qualified as a Certified Public Accountant within the state of North Carolina in 1993.

 


Norman OgaliNorman Ogali

Senior Manager 

 

Based in the Cayman Islands, Norman has over 15 years of insurance experience.  Prior to joining Atlas in 2013, he worked with EY Eastern Africa and Deloitte Cayman Islands servicing their insurance clients.

Norman has managed and overseen a wide variety of offshore captive structures, including segregated portfolios, group captive and single parent captives.  These provide a range of coverages, including workers compensation, auto liability, auto phyisical damage, cargo liability and medical stop loss. 

Norman began his career as an auditor with EY Kenya, primarily auditing general and life insurance companies.  He relocated to the Cayman Islands in 2008, joining Deloitte's assurance division where he was first introduced to captive insurance.  After joining Atlas in Cayman in 2013 he relocated with his family to St. Kitts and Nevis in 2016 before returning to Cayman Islands in 2018.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).  He is currently finalizing the Advanced Diploma in insurance qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
